Maria, Cheese Department

Maria LOVES cheese. It's a natural for her, having grown up on a farm where her parents had 500 goats and made cheese. Little Maria got to ride the goats and started her cheese education.

She has been a Sonoma Market employee for twenty years, loves her work and is the cheese department manager and buyer. She is also responsible for the olive bar and its selection of over fifty types of olives.

Maria researches cheeses on the Internet and her customers make suggestions and requests, frequently for new cheeses found on their travels.

Maria has two children, a daughter, 15, and a son, 12.
